Dear Anonymous,
TAX is a compulsory extraction of money from the citizens without ANY QUID PRO QUO.
Just by paying road tax you cannot say that this road is not repaired or other road has been repaired. There is no one to one co-relation between tax and benefit to flow. In fact, as already stated, there is no quid pro quo at all as far as tax is concerned. You cannot sue either the government or any of the authorities.
If you do not pay tax, you will be infringing the law, and consequently liable to all penal consequences.

You can sue the Government for damages , but the success would be eluding you. For instance, the State would argue that it cannot be held responsible for the simple reasons that it is taking every effort to get the roads to be in order.

By trying to sue the government, in the bargain you will be ending up spending more rather than getting any damages awarded in favour.

About tax,It is to be pay as required by the statue.

Because it is how governments fund what the society considers important and wants it to provide.

It can also act as a way to shift some of the wealth from those with much to those with less.

governance require expenditure which can be

met only by money and that money is to be

collected by imposing taxes. Moreover it is

not a new phenomena.

Your main question relates to quality of

governance,which of course is bad.
