Birth certificate

I am a student and i dont have birth certificate nor i have been registerd in any hospital as born at home so i have no proof i was born in solapur maharashtra .So can some one please tell me can i get the certificate as I need it for passport

Go to you village where you born, apply for a birth certificate in Taluk office/ birth registrar. They will return the application with an endorsement. (by chance your birth registered they will issue B.C ), contact a local lawyer, he will file the papers in judicial magistrate court under the birth and death registration act and he will guide you in getting birth certificate. It may take around thirty to sixty days.

Yes. In tamilnadu this is the procedure to get birth certificate. If its not registered.. Better you can consult an advocate. Its very simple issue.

Mr. Ganeshan is right. The Magistrate has powers to direct the municipal/village panchayat authorities to register date of birth. Apart from that the date of birth mentioned in school leaving certificate and SSC i.e. matriculation certificate is accepted by the passport authorities.
