Can tenant keep his kins with him in the rented place ?

Guest (Querist) 14 August 2010 This query is : Resolved
My tenant is keeping his real brother with him in the rented place without informing or taking my permission.

Is it legal?

Was not he duty bound under law to inform me or take my permission for that?

My case falls under Delhi Rent Act.

well he can keep his relative with him, there is no bar.

however if there is some subletting or otherwise nuisance being created by the said brother then the tenant can be removed from the premises.

Keeping the keen with the relative is no restraint unless it is bared by the particular Rent Act. In West Bengal Rent Act it is no bar.
