absence of petitioner in divorce case

What happens if the petitioner of a divorce case doesnt attend the court for one year after 6 years of continuous fight in court

Mam,

If the petitioner don't appear, in divorce case the the lawyer can contest the case on his behalf, I mean the stage of the trail will make a difference.

what is the current stage of your case?. actually for matrimonial proceedings parties need not to appear in each and every hearings.

even though the mentioned period is too long in your case.
