Sir,
I received some injury due to an accident in an office due to the negligence of their security guard and was operated upon.
How can i claim compensation for that and under what provisions or law...
Do i need to hire services of a lawyer or file any civil or criminal case for this.
Kindly let me know.

You can claim compensation, it is advisable to hire a lawyer.

1. What type of injury did you receive, i.e., simple, grievous etc. as stated in the MLC (if it is there)?
2. Was a complaint/FIR registered? What type of negligence did you find in the functioning of Security Guard?
3. Was there direct involvement of the Guard in the accident?
4. Where did you hit or who had hit you in the alleged accident?
5. No opinion can be formed on such vague posting provide full information.
6. Consult and engage a local lawyer for further questions, guidance, advise and proceeding in a professional manner.
