Noise around residential flat

Sir,
I am living in a rented flat on 1st floor and my landlord has given the ground floor to some businessmen. At starting i.e.in year 2004-05 they started running small machines which does not sounds much but recently they have established some big machine and
they run a machine shop which sounds a lot and also our flat vibrates due to running of machines
I have reported about that to our land lord but he is reluctant in this matter and doing nothing.
How can I stop this
Please show me the Way

yes,
police will help you as one cannot use big machine in residential area.
