Are the BCI, MCI, ICA, ICWA,
etc covered by the RTI.
If not, why not?
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 15 June 2010
All these bodies are duly covered under RTI Act now. Initially the mentioned bodies were left to be covered but later on have duly been brought under the umbrella of RTI.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 15 June 2010
Yes, right.
G. ARAVINTHAN (Expert) 16 June 2010
Who said why not?

All those are under the control of Government and thus they come under RTI Act
Kumar Thadhani (Expert) 16 June 2010
Yes they are covered under the RTI Act.
Surrender K Singal (Expert) 16 June 2010
Public Body or Authority would undoubtedly be covered under RTI Act ! that was the purpose of the Act !
Uma parameswaran (Expert) 18 June 2010
Yes.
Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 12 July 2010
If the answer is in the affirmative,
What if there are no such
RTI officers appointed?
I have received a strange reply
to my RTI appln to RTI Commissioner
stating that the appointment
of RTI officers in such bodies
can be checked with those and the RTI Commission is not concerned with
the said NON-APPOINTMENT.
