Delay in handing over physical possession of apartment

A builder at Chennai,a limited & listed company collected about 50% of the total cost of an apartment allotted to me.The company ought to have handed over physical possession of the apartment by 24/09/2015.
but in reality,the construction is yet to commence and their response to my repeated
queries is not encouraging.

I request the experts concerned what best options do I have to proceed with to safeguard my interests.

You can approach the consumer court. But what about others who have made the booking? It is advisable if a joint action could be launched.

You have two options, i.e., to cancel the booking and ask for refund of entire amount with interest or you can file a consumer case agaisnt the builder for deficiency of service and compensations thereof.
