Cheque bounce

(Querist) 27 June 2014 This query is : Resolved
Hi,
A person who owes me Rs.75000/- gave me 5 cheques.
As reqested the first cheque for Rs.15000/- was submitted one month later. The cheque bounced and the party keeps on extending payment date.
I do not see any possiblity of collecting the amount withot legal action.
Even the total amount of Rs.75000/- was taken from me by fraud.
Please advice on what police or other legal action can be taken

dear Vimal ...
you can take legal action ... immediately send him a legal notice ... you can file a complain case u/s 138 of NI act only withing 15 days from the cheque bounce other wise you need to file money recovery suit.
