house maintenance

(Querist) 03 January 2014 This query is : Resolved 
Dear all I have a bungalow in a society which I hace given on rent. Now recently the society has started to take maintenance charges from the members and to collect 600 rupees per month per member but want to charge me 1200 and all other members who have given their bungalow on rent so kindly advise me that do they have the right to charge us double maintenance thanks.

First refer to the Bu=ye Laws of the society to see whether such rule is there or not.
If you feel aggrieved you can always raise dispute with the registrar of Society by written submission.

no society cannot charge you double maintenance . at most 10%of maintenance charges

If the bye laws of the society does not permit so society can not do so.
