Consumer coplaintt dismiss in default

Respected sir,
how can i restore the consumer complaint which has been dismissed in default by District Consumer Forum.

with ur supporting affidavit in court.

Consumer court has no power to restore it. You have to go to National Commission.

Power to set aside its' own such orders vests only in National commission as per section 22A of the Act.

No power of restoration vests in District consumer forum or in state commission under any provisions of the Act.

Restoration provisions or section 151 of C.P.C does not apply to a consumer complaint.

Hence concluded remedy is APPEAL before state commission as the order was passed by the District Forum.
