Respected Sir,
I have selected in Allahabad bank on the post of PO . i had to join the service on 19 july 2011 but due to illness i ask for extension which was extended to 19 August 2011. But up to 19 August i didn't become medically fit so i send speed post dated 17 august along with medical report for further extension. But they didn't reply. After that I send many fax and speed post to give me a chance. i made telephonic call to HR deptt But in vain they didn't reply anything clear. After that on 8 october 2011 i got speed post from the bank containing a letter dated 23 september 2011 asking me to join upto 30 september 2011 otherwise offer stands cancelled . When i tracked the date of booking of speed post on india post site . i was shocked to see that this letter was booked on 4 october 2011 and delivered to me on 8 october 2011.
After that i have send many speed post to them to give me one more chance to join along with speed post tracking details that how can i joined upto 30 september 2011 when letter itself was booked on 4 october 2011.
But till date they have not send any reply to me .
Pl let me know
1) since they ask me to join upto 30 sept 2011 by letter dated 23 sept 2011 but booked it on 4 october 2011. will this is not their fault?
2) can i get a chance to join in the Bank?
3) how can i proceed further so that i can get justice?

Apparently unnecessary query:-
When you received letter dated 30.8.2011, did you go there to join? (your blong does not show that)
Have you been stopped from joining?
Have yu informed the HRM if they have stopped you from joining when the extention letter is posted after expiry of extention?
Don'nt you think that your conduct indicates you to be disinterested candidate. If you see prospect of loosing offer then whey you have not gone to the HRM and met the concerned officer.
Do you expect bank to keep on begging before you to join and in case there was a clerical delay in despatch of a letter then the management should come begging before you and issue another letter.

In the given case, the act and conduct of management is malafide but you shall personally go the office and meet the concerned officials and request them to do the needful and go for joining directly that place otherwise bank cannot be kept on hold for such a long time if you are not medically fit to join your duty.

respected Sir, I had to report at RO Jaipur for joining. When i contacted through phone to Head Office they said offer of appointment withdrawn as you fail to report at ro jaipur upto 30 sept 2011. After that they didnot replied me anything. When contacted to RO Jaipur ,they asked to me that if you come for joining you must have extention letter beyond 30 sept 2011 issued from Head Office, otherwise YOu cannot join .
Pl suggest in this situation how can i proceed?

Now you hve explained the problem. Now you have ashonw cause of action. If you have already represented then you can now approach High Court against arbitrary delay of letter. It appears you have received no letter of withdrawal of offer.
It may be possible that the letter you refer to be posted on 4.10.11 may be antedated. The evelop itself may be indicating the despatch.
Before moving high Court you can alos write to the CVO of Allahabad Bank.

You were supposed join on 19th July 2011. For whatever reasons, you have not reported till now. The last advice from Bank was to join by 30th September 2011. You should have settled this matter in the first week of October itself by personally going to RO Jaipur and could have produced the printout of delay posting. Simply the letter was posted and received beyond the stipulated date you need not have to attribute the intention of the Bank to deny the offer to you. If anybody is really interested in the job, he would have gone to Head Office, show the evidence and request them to give an extension letter. You have not done either of the above. This clearly shows that you are not interested or you are buying time due to some other problem. If you are really interested, take out the printouts of the mails of all the correspondence and go to Head Office HRM personally and settle the matter. They may ask you to wait for some more time till they decide to fillup a new vacancy. You can give a letter to them showing your clear intention to join immediately by giving reasons for not joining earlier. If they refuse to act upon, obtain an acknowledgement personally and then only proceed for legal remedy.
