Shetakari dakhala.

Dear Sir,
We have purchased a agricultural land in Thane Mahanagarpalika area which is under Residential Zone.We have already constructed a house on this land in 1991.
1)Is Shetakari Dakhala needed for registering name in 7-12 extract??

If not necessory then request you to provide by which law & act?

As the land comes within the agricultural land, the record of which is preserved by revenue department so it is safe to get entered your name in 7/12 extracts but if municipality has started recovering the house tax etc. and your house has been provided with municipal unit no, then it is better to ensure proper entry of your name in municipal record.

You have to be an agriculturist if you want to purchase agricultural land in Maharastra as per sec.63 of BTAL Act
