Administrative Judge of our High Court carried out sudden inspection.For this purpose, he entered the court room of the Additional District & Sessions Judge.On seeing him, the ASJ stood up from his chair and alighted from the raised platform to greet the High Court Judge.

Whether such conduct of the ASJ is appropriate?

1. Yes, Ld. HC Judges are superior to ASJ as Session falls under HC Jurisdiction is it not so.

2. It is also judicial professional curtseys extended to Ld. HC Judge.

I can’t find any merit in such vague questions.

Dear Tajobsindia,the question is not vague. A judge while presiding over his court is sovereign within his court room.The courtesies to his seniors should be extended out of court room.
