I am jayamma my father correct name is jayappa in my school record my father nam mentiobed as gopallappa as in the year of 1968.. I was studied.. Till 8 standard and discontinued.
Now m age of 57 years.. I need to change my father name as jayappa....my father nam in pan card and proprty documents corectly stated as jayappa...
What is the limitation for corecting my father name..
Can i file declaration suit

Your father, if alive can affirm one and the same name affidavit, notarize it and publish it in the local newspaper which should solve the purpose.

This does not appear to be spelling mistake. How did name change so largely?

After a long period of decades, did you not find your father's name wrongly mentioned in your school records? Your father's name is Jayappa, and it was mentioned as Gollappa, which is a big variation. You have to get a gazette notification for your father's name.
