Recently I have filed divorce on mental cruelty ground. I have a son of 12 yrs old. Will it help if my son agrees that what I am saying against her is true infront of the judge? Will it help if my son wants to stay in my custody? How can I bring back my car registered in my name from her?

you can produce any witness who can depose what he/she has seen.

Though the deposition of your child is helpful in your case but avoid such practice. An innocent child should not be misused. He might be loving his father as well as his mother as he has right to do so.
Custody of child is decided on the sole parameter of his welfare which has to be provided by leading evidence.

You should bring on record after consultation with your lawyer and get it confirmed by secondary evidence.
Beating her own mother may not be much helpful to prove cruelty against you.
