Pending criminal case against you, it would be difficult to join a government job.

As Per Law it is for the screening committee to decide whether the Pendency of Criminal case would have any bearing on the nature of post on the basis of allegation leveled against you in the FIR charged/framed. There are plethora of judgements where the Courts including Supreme Courts have interfered in the decision of departments discharging service men only on the pretext of a pending case.More over a Judgement by Honorable Justice of Supreme Court Mr.Katju directs the departments Not to Reject the Candidature solely on the ground of a Pending Case.
