1. Yes, you can file DV case even after 2/3 years of leaving your husband's place. However, more you delay in filing the case, more you invite doubt on the credibility of your complaint,

dear querist
the limitation period for filing dv case is one year, you can not file dv after 2-3 year from incident. as apex court judgments.
