Limitation period for criminal appeal

Sir,

What is the period of limitation for criminal appeal in High Courts. What is the remedy if Public Prosecutor refuse to appeal in the High Court. Can victim go for appeal without Public Prosecutor what is the limitation period for such an appeal.

Please clarify.
