Marriage registration certificate

Is it possible to get married in U.P and get marriage certificate from Delhi.And is there any time limit from marriage date of applying for certificate?

if you are married in UP staying in UP marriage woill have to be registered in UP .

Applicants who get married under the Hindu customs can get their marriage registered within one month of the actual marriage under the Hindu Marriage Act 1955 (Section 8) by applying to the office of the Sub-Registrar in prescribed form along with relevant proof of marriage.

If your marriage is regd., at Delhi by producing the marriage proof, you can get the marriage certificate in delhi

I differ, if you get married in UP and atleast one of you is the resident of Delhi, the marriage can be registered in Delhi.
