Dear Sir,

I want to know that if i have given my house on rent to a tenant and if he leave my house and did not pay me rent from past 2 years and now he vacant my house then within how much time i can file suit against him for claiming rent.

please reply.....

You can file asuit for evction agaiinst her at any time and you could claim all the arrears rent form him till the date of hearing.

YOU CAN FILE EVICTION SUIT AGAINST TENANT AT ANY TIME BUT FOR RECOVERY OF ARRIERS OF RENT,LIMITATION IS THREE YEARS WHICH STARTS FROM THE MONTH/DATE WHEN HE STOPPED MAKING PAYMENT OF RENT.

I agree with Mr.Barman.
I differ from Mr.Bhartesh, as for as the rent control act is concerned there is no limitation, landlord can claim even 5 years rent.
