Incorrect plot number found in the online system against my deed

(Querist) 14 April 2017 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to write down my problem here so that someone from this forum provides me the right direction/solution for this problem.

While verification of an advocate it has been identified that the Plot Number present in the computerized system against my flat’s Deed is not correct. Perhaps a typo was happened while entering the Plot Number data in the computerized system during the time of registration process. But the Plot Number is correctly present in the registration hard copy (certified copy) as well as in the hard copy of mother deed. That is wrong data is only present in the computerized system, not in the certified hard copy. The discrepancy I have also found from http://banglarbhumi.gov.in/ website.

Below is the example:
Current Plot Number present in the online system, as below:
RS-03844, RS-03844/350
But the same is present in the hard copy (certified copy), as below:
RS-00384, RS-00384/350

Please advise how can I correct the Plot Number in the online system?

Looking forward to see your responses. Thanking you.

If there is any difference in the hard copy of the conveyance and the online record of the property, then apply to the revenue record with the original conveyance deed and request to correct the e record.

Contact the concerned department, request in writing to rectify the mistake enclosing copy of the deed.

Dear Both Sir,
Thank you for your suggestions.

First time when I saw the discrepancy, I contacted to the Sub-registrar Office from where the registration process was done. I requested to the registrar in writing an application to rectify the mistake enclosing copy of the deed. He verified and told me that I have to make the Deed of Declaration (first option). I contended with him and then he sent my application to District Registrar Office, from there it went to “Directorate of Registration & Stamp Revenue” Office. Initially from the Directorate Office it was told me that they will forward this problem to NIC (National Informatics Centre) department from where within a few days it will be corrected. Eventually days went on but the updates was not placed. Then I contacted to the Directorate Office and from where it was told me that this correction will not be occurred at NIC rather it has to be corrected from Sub-registrar Office. Just think about the process how ridiculous and pathetic it is, I have followed-up here and there for more than 6 months and have completed a circle but nothing correction has been materialized. Now from Sub-registrar Office a second option has been given to me that I have to go for a Rectification Deed for this online update. For that they told me that I have to pay the extra Stamp duty and Registration fees with the current market value of my property. Also, they asked me to provide the original deed which is currently in Bank’s custody since I have bought the property via the home loan.

So, please suggest me the options (Deed of Declaration / Rectification Deed) I have been given are the right one? I am not able to understand what the correct process is and what I will have to do to correct the online data.

Issue a legal notice to the Registrar and NIC for necessary amendment at their end failing which you may move in a suit for declaration/mandatory injunction or issuance of a writ of mandamus.

It is the fault of system and they must be taken to task.

You may opt for taking the issue in media.
