Purchase of agriculture land

Dear Sir,

I am from Andhra Pradesh. I married a Gujarati girl, who is from farmers family. Can I purchase an agriculture land on my name in Gujarat? Please suggest.

State rules apply.
Pursue these before buying.

'Buyer Beware' applies to property deals.
It shall be appropriate to get proper legal opinion from a very able local senior counsel of unshakable repute and integrity specializing in revenue/property/civil matters before signing or making payment.
This may cost some FEE but can defend long term interest and hard earned monies.

Are you a farmer? Even otherwise, the Revenue Authorities can allow exceptions in deserving cases.
