Passrt issue with name

Hi,

My name is Nidhi and I was born in 1991. I am looking to apply new Passport for me with my full name "Nidhi Singh" but I have only first name mentioned in the Birth Certificate(DOB Proof) and only first name mentioned in the Aadhaar Card( Address Proof).
Can you please let me know if I get the Affidavit for name change, I can apply in tatkal. Are News Paper Cutting Mandatory?

Though this is minor discrepancy, however, You should contact the municipal authorities for rectification. Aadhar card can also be corrected.

Alternately you my submit ANNEXURE ‘E’ SPECIMEN AFFIDAVIT FOR CHANGE IN NAME/DEED POLL/SWORN AFFIDAVIT with your passport application.
