Dear Sir, Is a revenue stamped receipt of consideration amount is necessary document in Sale Deed transaction by the purchaser?
In a registered Sale Deed transaction, there will be necessarily a recital regarding receipt of consideration amount. If the registered Sale deed clearly specifies about the receipt of sale consideration amount, there is absolutely no need of a separate "REVENUE STAMPED RECEIPT". When the sale deed is presented for registration before the Registrar and when the deed is registered, the parties will also admit the execution of the Deed. Hence, there is absolutely no need of demanding or getting a separate "REVENUE STAMPED RECEIPT".

If in the recital of sale deed the fact of payment is mentioned, no need of separate receipt, however if separate receipt is taken revenue stamp is required.

Yes, agreed with the experts that if there is a recital in the registered sale deed about the receipt of sale consideration amount, it will be an ample proof for the valid financial transaction.
