Dear all

I want to know legal concequeses of industrial strike dut to long term settlement with management of company.
like Can labor union file any legal suit against management in Labor court.

settlement of wage increase happened in 2007-08. after a gap of 4 years again it was due but could not materlize because of big gap what labor union is asking increas what management is offering . we have complied all Minimum wage condition.
my point is if they are on strike & it is not getting settled for long. Can they go to court to get the dispute settled

Being a Finance Manager of the Company, you can very well understand that your company can afford to hire services of some legal or industrial relations expert. Any casual approach to solve serious problem by raising brief general queries without making any expert going deep in to the problem with particular reference to the environments and management-worker relations can probably prove to be fatal.

Labour laws are well illustrated. You only need the help of some industrial relations expert and an intelligent mediator for the time being to help solve the industrial dispute between the workers & management. If the problem still persists after the efforts of the experts to sort out the issues, the ultimate possibility of lockout would have to be considered, as a last resort.

Labour unions can take the help of Labour Department to settle the wage dispute. Success depends upon the provisions, language of the contents of the wage agreement vis-a-vis the provisions of law.
