Sc/st certificate

is having sc certificate of 2 states an offence.when and when it is not offence.bear one thing in mind while solving this query that applicants father is posted in both these 2 states of which he claims sc status.applicants father is central govt employee.

Surrender any one of your certificate.. Its will avoid some problems in future..

Caste certificate remains the same in any state of india the only relevant thing is that whenever required by you in which state you are is impt the state in which you are availing any facility then you can and always has to use that state certificate. having 2 cetificates cannot amount to any crime but having contradictory certificates would amount to forgery. i.e. two different caste n two different certificates for the same person

You can have community certificate of two states. But, both should not show different community name.

Every state used to issue community certificate, so your act is not illegal.

You can take benefits anywhere by giving correct and true information, by this you can avoid any legal problems.

If the community you belong is listed in the respective two states as SC, there is nothing wrong as it has to be produced for claiming respective state concessions. For availing concessions at Central Govt you can use anyone.In fact the SC and ST migrants from one state to other are facing problems. Government of India has issued instructions in respect of the OBCs for availing the concessions wherevever they migrates.It will be in the fitness of things to issue such guidelines in respect of migrants belonging to SCs and STs as well.
