Section 378. Theft
Whoever intending to take dishonestly any moveable property out of the possession of any person without that person's consent, moves that property in order to such taking, is said to commit theft.

So please give the complete facts of the case... ownership is not relevant in the offence of theft... possession is relevant.....

Most of the tme it is seen that even after requestng the person to give the detaiils they simply remain silent.
