Adoption

(Querist) 10 October 2010 This query is : Resolved
I want to ask whether the adoption without adoption deed is valid or not?
And when the real parents who gave birth to a child write down the name of adopted parents in hospital and in the record of municipal council then it amounts to adoption or not. And can real parents claim the child after some years?
KAMARAJ BHARATHY G (Expert) 10 October 2010
Adoption taken without adoption deed is not valid. Providing the names of the proposed adopted parents name by the real parants itself is not amounting adoption deed. However, the parties can enter in to a adoption deed now and register the same.
