Still I am contesting for it. I had taken contention regarding the jurisdiction because jurisdiction lies where the alleged incident have taken place, but court is not at all considering it. In the DV act protection officer will file a report before the magistrate. I had challenged his jurisdction, but court failed to understand.

Yes. She can file it at Guntur since Sec.2(i) of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act,2005 permits it. The option lies with her to choose either Guntur or Nizamabad

The jurisdiction is not confined purely to the place where the acts of violence took place. They have also been extended to places of residence of either the aggrieved person or that of the respondents as well.

DV Act is a special Act and the victim can file in any place where she resides or at the place of cause of action
