This query is : Resolved
I worked for a bank for 2 months and resigned the job and now placed in another marketing job.
The bank even paid me salary during my work time, still crediting the salary for the past 3 months.
I debited and put all three months salary in fixed deposit.
Now my question is can the bank ask from me the three months salary?

You better inform the bank about it now itself. Or else when the bank discovers it later on and takes proceedings for recovery you will be made to cough up the whole thing then.

It is gentelmanship to inform the bank its error and thus show your honesty.

Then send a notice like letter stating that u r not responsible for the errors made by the bank.
If feasible send the amount by cheque

Dear Mr. Anonymous,
You look so innocent as not to know what to do when you get money credited into your bank when you are not entitled to it.
First and foremost, put yourself in the reverse order. If you have to get your money, and if you don't get it what will you do? Will you not write to the concerned authorities? If no action is taken for say two or three months, will you not address/complain to the higher authorities with a copy to the original authority to whom you made the first representation?
In any case, you can very well approach the Branch Manager where you worked and giving it in writing saying that you are getting the salary credited in your account even after you have left the job, and take proper acknowledgement of the same. This will at best protect you from paying any interest demand.
In any case, when the bank makes a demand or take any other action whether immediately or after some time, you have to return the money paid in excess to you.
If you are looking for some loophole in law, please forget.
