Sir,

My unmarried brother working in central govt. aged 56 years recently passed away had given nomination to three members 1.mother 50% and other two 25 % each in his PF Gratuity and other benefits.As my mother has passed away long back can I as a elder brother along with my other sisters put a claim for the afore said amounts.

Please apply for succession certificate quantifying the stake for legal heirship for claim of monetary benefits.

you can claim but it requires succession certificate issued by the competent civil court.

You can claim after obtaining succession certificate to prove that you are heir of your brother
