Dear Sirs
Greetings to all
My query is: I was tried with some criminal offences and i was sentenced by the CJM Court. I filed an appeal before the appelate court which confirmed my sentence and teh judjement of the lower court. I approached the High Court and filed Criminal revision petition. On the other hand my counsel on the hearing invoked provision of Probations of Offenders act without my knowledge and consent.The high court did not granted me probation of good conduct but reduced my sentence to the sentence i have already undergone and released me. My question is can a counsel do so without my consent??Kindly help..and kindly provide me some citations on this if available

your counsel has acted in your interest . your sentence has been reduced based on his arguments . you have retained him as your counsel authorised him to act on your behalf . you should be grateful to your counsel
