hello,i am LLM student, last year i.e 2010-2011 i was completed my LLB with 1st class.
now in this year univercity published merit list of LLB student but in that merit list i didnt have my name.
after that i approched concern person they told me reason that i am not completed the course with in term i.e three year and this is true i was failed in 1st LLB. bt the merit list published for the student appeard in acadamic year 2010-2011 so thr is no issue of privious record.
whats the remady is available for me.
is thr any citation available for this....

actully evry year univercity publishs merit list of the stundent and these students will get gold medal @ convocation....
as per my grand total in acadamic year of which merit list published i am first but my nmae is not there....

Merit will be conferred only if the course is completed in the prescribed minimum years for academic course.
Mr. Shonee is right. Since you did not complete your course within a prescribed academic session, which session merit list they should include you?

finally got rules for merit list which totally ambuguous.
A.as LLB is professional course unvercity is not having seperate merit list for professional coures.
rules as below
1.merit list decred only for graduate and postgraduate courses nt for part time.
2.as per new syllabus meritlist declare for final year exam
3.meritlist decclare on as per the avrage marks e.g BA, b.Com B.sc.
4.repeter not get the benifit of meritlist
5.student should complete his course within presribed period.
but as per me
meritlsit rules not for professional course as it is in genaral nature
the 1st rule says that 'as per new syllabus meritlist declare for final year exam' as LLB 3rd i got higest mark.
for the application of rule 3. student should complete his course with in prescribed term so that avrage should be conciderd for merit list,but result of LLB course in my univercity not declared on avrage basis even i alredy got BGL(bachlor degree in general laws) as m completed 1st year and Second LLB, so here is no issue that m failed in 1st year LLB.after getting BGL dgree i got fresh admission in LLB3rd and passed in 1st stroke wid higest marks in the univercity i.e as per new syllabus merit list published for the last year exam and as per this rule my nme shoul be in tht merit list.
even the head of the merit list is states that
'Following is a Facultiwise and subjectwise list of the students in order of Merit (post-graduate, undergraduate)
who stood First, Second Third respectively at University level, in the examinations conducted by this University in April / May 2011'
as m appeard in April / May 2011 LLB final year exam got higest marks in 1st stroke....
now wht i have to do....which is the legal point in it which stand in my faver..
give the citation on it....
what is proper remedy......
