could understand your query
Before me means either Notary/Oath commissioner
If you are filing before court it remain vaild for ever but it not on stamp paper
But before authorities , its on stamp papaer

Affidavit will be singed before the Notary / Oath Commissioner and also advocate - who will attest the Affidavit after the deponent singed before him and verification will be -deponent signed before me -and they will attest the affidavit - Once it is signed and attested the contents of the affidavit are the declaration of the deponent for all purposes as and when required !
