GIVEN MATTER IS ABOUT MY FRIEND ABC. FACT IS THAT , HE CAUGHT IN BROTHEL AREA. COP WAS DEMANDED Rs.500 /- TO RELEASE. SO. MY QUESTION IS THAT IS IT ILLEGAL TO BE FOUND AT BROTHEL AREA ?.

If your friend is not involved in any of the offenses, he need not worry, it is not illegal.

But, the police is having all such powers to arrest in case of any doubt.
