Weekly hours for work

Is it compliance to make your employee work for more than 48 hours a week. As office timings from Monday to Friday are 9:30 to 6:30 and on Satuday's is is 9:30 to 5 pm.
Kindly explain.

It is essential as per labour law to work for 48 hours in a week.

Work hours;8/day=48/week.

Beyond it OT applies.
After 5hours, give break/rest.
Look into enactments that apply to your establishment and also capping on OT.

Your establishment must be having empaneled Labor Law Consultant/law firm.

Refer the matter to your counsel.
