Your complaint in 498a is going on for 10 years, now you want a share in your husband's earnings?, what about the maintenance application?, have you filed one or avoided because you are employed with handsome salary?

Dear Venu Sir,
She is an elderly lady in 60s. She is not earning. Her husband is well off now but spends extravagantly. But she has to plead before him for the use of money as she likes. She often mentions before me that her husband states that she has got no right on husband's earnings and thus she has no right to ask on the extravagant behaviour of her husband.
So this query is posted to know whether wife really has got no rights on husband's earnings and property earned out of his income. This query is posted to know what the law says.

If it is not your own problem what is your concern with the subject issue?, how are you related to it?, if you are a lawyer you know what laws says , i.e., the husband has to maintain his wife, but nowhere it says that she has any rights in his earnings or property during his life time provided he taking care of her properly, now are you trying to earn by taking advises from here for your client's cause?
