sir i want to gift my house property to my relative .

now as per law stamp duty is levied as a fixed % market value of the property.

now how do i determine market valuer of my property.??

is it done by approved valuer were to find an approved valuer??? and what qualification should an approved should possess.

Registered Gift Deed is the best way to gift the property to your relative. Contact the concerned SRO to know about the stamp duty on gift deed. You need not engage an approved valuer to find out the value. SRO will let you know the value and stamp duty.

Valuation is done by the local registration office not any valuer.

The stamp duty in WB for gift within relative is 0.5% and registration fees is 1.1%.

Stamp duty varies State to State, for valuation, consult Sub Registrar Office for circle rate applicability.
