Salary issue

(Querist) 09 June 2014 This query is : Resolved
I worked with a company said Quatrro Gloabal Services. When I left this company I asked them for their notice period they said it is not required. Now, They are not paying my salary and they say you did not serve notice for 60 days. I need help.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 09 June 2014
If it is written in the agreement about notice period then you are bound to serve notice period or forfeit the salary.
Their verbal assurance is of no help.

Refer the terms of employment.
malipeddi jaggarao (Expert) 10 June 2014
Your appointment letter, service conditions/regulations of the company - if they are specific about notice period, you should have served the same.
These are the tactics adapted by private companies to avoid payment of salary. If you have joined in a better company, if the dues from previous employer are negligible, I advise you to leave the matter instead of making a legal fight. However, you can definitely represent to them personally that you have left the company without notice period with their consent and hence you are entitled for the salary.

Your own appointment/offer letter could provide you the rules of termination of appointment.

Unless you post the terms and conditions of your appointment contract/agreement/letter, no definite advice can be offered to you.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 13 June 2014
You would have been served with a set of terms and conditions of appointment while giving you the offer letter, please go through that, if what you is right, go ahead with legal action against the company.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 17 June 2014
