Reg government exams

Hello sir.
I am Mani from Tamilnadu. Am an engineering graduate and presently doing business. That business was registered in my name. I have a wish to compete state civil service exams and side by am preparing. Being an entrepreneur can i compete government exams?. If not what i need to do? please do reply sir.

yes, you can attend exam, that is your rights, if you select you will change the proprietorship to some one.

Yes, you can indeed contest for the post. However after getting the job you can no more carry on the business.

There is no bar in appearing for examinations conducted for the coveted posts based on qualifying educational qualifications and it is immaterial that you are into a business or not for appearing in such examinations, you may have to think about continuing the business once selected to the government post.
