my friends wife filled Two 498a in two different PS. Now its being quashed. As it is clear evident that the act was missued, what are the chances of wining the defamation case against his father in law?

A mere quash of the case will not entail one to file a defamation case against the complainant because the complainant here will be the police not his father n law. Hence not maintainable.
