Society/cooperative society

Sir
I am confused with society and cooperative housing society. Our purpose is to purchase a land, build an apartment by a contractor and transfer it to our members. We also want home loan from bank by individual capacity. Please suggest which one is more appropriate:- a society/cooperative society?

Repeated query.......still Co-operative Housing society is the only choice since a society formed under Society Registration Act is treated as NGO and can not carry any business as being conceived..
