Owner of tree

I have 6 acre agriculture land in (panipat) Haryana and i want to plant trees on boundaries of my field but my neighbor farmer says that if i plant tree on boundaries he will be owner of half amount(sale of Tree) due to law.
I want to know that who will be owner legally and at what distance i should plant the trees to avoid neighbors dispute.

Plant trees well inside ur land so that the branches of trees also remain within ur land and then u will the legal owner of said trees and no dispute can be raised by ur
neighbor.

Keep a safe distance from the boundary for planting trees.
He can claim anything, but, before the court of law, all the claims shall be justified.

you have to plant trees in such a manner that no nuisance is caused to your neighbour . if tree branches fall on your neighbour land and damage his crops you would be liable.
you would be owner of the tree as it is entirrely on your land . if it is grown on the boundary both of you would be the owners
