Today in the case in my relation Hon Magistrate asked the complainant to bring the copy of judgment in the case where the tenants were given lesser area of flat, to the tenants by the developers under redevelopment scheme, than the area mentioned in the Agreement.
The developers also did not pay to the tenants 16 months rent for alternet accommodation which the developer was to provide compulsorily to the tenants.
whether compensation can be demanded?

It is the responsibility of the developer to provide rent to the tenant for the period of redevelopment.

what are the clauses in agreement . the agreement entered into with developer must be containing clause that in event developer fails to pay rent he shall be liable to pay interest at 18%etc . please go through agreement .
in addition there must be a clause wherein if developer fails to proovide area mentioned under agreement what would be the conseqences .
consult a local lawyer .
was bank gurantee taken from developer?
problem today with querists is that they do not do their home work . your agreement is your bible go through it in detail
