Spelling mistake in marks sheet

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name has been printed incorrectly in my graduation and post graduation certificates as Pravinkumar instead of Praveenkumar. My identities (Passport, PAN etc) has the correct name i.e Praveenkumar.

I do not have any scope to change the names on the certificates, as they are quite old (graduation – 2006; post graduation 2010). Please let me know if I can have an affidavit saying that Pravinkumar & Praveenkumar are the names of the same person; and the previous name was a typographical error. I am appling for visa very soon and don’t want to have problems.

Please help.

for your post graduation degree of 2010 you can make application to concerned university for rectification of name in mark sheet . it has to be done within period of 3 years

better get a gazette notification on these aspects wrt to name.

dear ajay,

i had to use my graduation certificates for admission to pg course. thus i dont know if it can be changes as its more of an error from my side.

but i wont be able to change the one for graduation. please help. can an affidavit work? please enlighten me.

contact your university . try changing name in your PG mark sheet . if all fails then you will have to publish it in gazettee

First change in Graduation mark sheet thereafter post graduation mark sheet by application along with affidavit.

In my opinion, there can't possible gazette notification since default in the part of university and it could be change on affidavit.
