Religion change on job

My friend got state government job on the basis of muslim minority reservation one year ago.now he wants to change his religion and cast in hindu and padmashaali cast because of marriage purpose(his parents got inter religious marriage his father muslim and mother is a hindu).is can he change his religion? and will he lose his job after convertion of religion?

He will not lose his job. This is for the simple reason at the relevant point of time of his appointment, he belonged to muslim minority community and availed the benefit of reservation.
What he does thereafter with his religion would not have any bearing on his appointment.

After change of the religion, in future, you may not be able to avail the benefits available to your former religion.

He was able to get the job under the quota for muslim minority.He can enjoy this facility so long as he continues as such.In case he swith over to anyother religion he will face diffculty in continuing in the job

There is no such term in the appointment or scheme. Job granted when the person belonged to backward class which is even extended to minorities in Andhra Pradesh. so by changing his religion from Muslim to Hindu in same backward case, there would not be any effect on his service and he shall very well continue to avail it. There are number of judgments of different high courts on this point.

Am agree with experts who are stating as no problem to continue his job. Apart from that if there is any specific condition for change of religion mean he have to face the problems.
