To take the divorce grounds are required.
Grounds are :
adultery, cruelty, desertion, impotency etc.,

Yes , if go for contested divorce. Otherwise if your husband agrees then both of you could also file for mutual divorce which takes around 6 months of time.

There are list of grounds of divorce in Hindu Marriage Act under section 13 or under section 27 of special marriage act if your case is coming under these grounds than you can apply divorce or you can file for mutual divorce which will take 6 month from date of application / this period can be condone if you can show the emergency.
