Sir,
I joined my job as a primary teacher in january 2017. That time I was in my 3rd year of graduation. Being ignorant I did not apply for any leave(other than CL) or permission for my final exam which took place in the middle of the year. Now I am afraid my degree would not be valid for updating my qualifications( my job required 10+2 at that time).
Please help me by letting me know how to get out of this mess.

you should have obtained permission to pursue yor education from the department, if not then this degree may not be considered as qualification for your further promotion aspect

Yes. Your qualification will not be considered as you have not obtained permission from the authority concerned. You shall again appear for the degree exam if it is compulsory.

his degree will not be allowed to be used for any promotion/ deputation/ forwarding of outside application (+) you are liable for disciplinary action.
department has a discretion to give you ( or not to give) ex-post factor permission which will enable this qualification to be added.
if this permission is not given then practically (as far as govt job is concerned) this degree does not exist.

In our country, there is no statutory provision which invalidates the educational qualifications secured by a Government employee without obtaining the permission of the competent authority.
As such, the qualification you acquired is valid and could be updated in the service records..
