Regarding arms license

I am a government employee. My father had an arms license which had been submitted in licensing unit after his death. now I applied for noc for arms license but department did not provide noc till after two months of apply and denying to provide noc. In this case what should I do?

You can submit an application under RTI act demanding the reason for not furnishing the NOC in this regard.
If there reply is not as per law then you can approach appropriate legal forum for relief and remedy

Please read and enlighten this forum as to "under which provision permission of the deptt is needed for applying for Arms License.

In all probability your department is unable to find provision under which they can grant /refuse such permission.

You are certainly liable to intimate to the department (within one month) if you acquire any property more than two months basic pay.

Yes, there is no requirement for getting NOC from the employer.
